With currently less than 100 left in the wild, Amur leopards are the most critically endangered of all the leopards. Despite these grim numbers, there has been remarkable improvement due to conservation efforts taking place by wildlife organizations considering that in 2007 there was only an estimated 26 cats left! Hope is not lost for these beautiful and rare cats. This gouache painting is a reminder that hope is never lost, and with help from others we can bounce back from anything.
